The match starts at 10:30 PM. Pakistan is up against England for the fourth and final T20I at the Kennington Oval in London tonight.
There’s a worry about rain potentially causing disruptions, as The Weather Channel predicts a 42 percent chance of showers in the area. This concern isn’t unfounded, as the third T20I in Cardiff got washed out due to rain on Tuesday.
Currently, England leads the series 1-0, securing a 23-run win in the second T20I last Saturday. The first match in Leeds was also a washout on May 22.
This series holds significant importance for both teams as they gear up for the T20 World Cup 2024, starting on June 1 in the US and the West Indies. England, the reigning T20 World Cup champions, defeated Pakistan in the 2022 final in Australia.
Apart from weather worries, there are security concerns too. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) responded to these by assigning two additional security officers to accompany the Pakistani players. This move came after several incidents where fans crowded around team members, especially captain Babar Azam, outside their hotel, leading to uncomfortable situations and viral videos.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi requested enhanced security, prompting the ECB to act swiftly to ensure the safety and well-being of the players during their stay in England.
